Job Description:
We are seeking caring and dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professions (DSP). In this role, you will be responsible for providing direct care and support to residents, assisting with daily living activities, and fostering a positive and inclusive community.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration. Support residents in participating in community activities and recreational events. Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming living environment. Document and report any changes in residents' health or behavior. Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement individualized care plans. Promote independence and encourage residents to achieve their personal goals.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; additional certifications or training in caregiving or IDD support preferred. Previous experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities is a plus. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Must pass a background check and have a valid driver's license.
