Part-time Direct Support Professional

We are looking for a Direct Support Professional in Owensboro, KY to provide personal assistance/caregiving services for an adult male with special needs who enjoys spending time with his nieces and participating in Special Olympics. The ideal candidate is someone who is caring, energetic, and flexible with a positive attitude. Personal Assistance enables this individual to accomplish tasks with assistance that he cannot do independently due to his disability. Personal Assistance tasks include, but are not limited to hands-on personal assistance; reminding, observing, guiding, or training during activities; assistance in managing medical care and medication administration; and transportation to activities and medical appointments. We are currently needing someone to fill in on evenings and weekends. Employees will be required to pass a drug test pre-hire, become CPR/First Aid certified within 6 months, complete yearly TB screenings, complete an online training, and submit car insurance & drivers license as per Medicaid guidelines.
