Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Attendant and Homemaker to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with activities of daily living in Perry County and surrounding counties, Cannelton, IN. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care and demonstrate the ability to work effectively with individuals of varying needs, including those with developmental disabilities, dementia, and Alzheimer's. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the client's quality of life Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences Maintain a clean and safe living environment through regular cleaning tasks Assist with medication administration as per care plans Support clients in engaging in social activities and community involvement Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts for safe patient transfers when necessary Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure client confidentiality and privacy Experience Candidates should have experience or familiarity with the following: First aid and CPR certification TB/ PPD test needed Must pass a background check Home health or hospice care experience Working with individuals with disabilities, including those with autism and developmental disabilities Able to make a difference in the lives of those they serve.
