- Full-time Milne is seeking compassionate, dependable, and dedicated individuals to join our team as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) .
In this role, you will provide direct care, support, and supervision to individuals with developmental disabilities, helping them maintain their health, safety, dignity, and quality of life. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Provide direct care and supervision to consumers in residential and program settings. Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, shaving, oral hygiene, and meal preparation. Monitor and document consumer conditions, including food intake, output, weight, vital signs, behavior, and activity levels. Accurately enter documentation into the electronic health record system. Administer medications and maintain Medication Administration Records (MAR) according to established procedures. Communicate changes in health, behavior, eating habits, or other concerns to nursing staff in a timely manner. Assist with positioning and transferring non-ambulatory consumers. Collect urine, stool, and sputum specimens when required. Utilize appropriate behavior management techniques and support individualized habilitation plans. Plan, direct, and participate in recreational, social, and community activities. Accompany consumers to appointments, outings, and community programs. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment, including housekeeping duties such as cleaning kitchens, bathrooms, classrooms, furniture, and common areas. Launder and inventory linens and clothing. Perform basic life-saving techniques when necessary. Attend and participate in required training and in-service programs. Operate company vehicles to transport consumers as needed. Follow assigned work schedules and perform other duties as assigned. Requirements High School Diploma or GED equivalent. At least 21 years of age Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record. Ability to operate a computer and electronic documentation systems. No previous criminal record. Must be able to pass the Drug Screening Process Current First Aid and CPR certification
