Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Resident Care Assistant Supervisor to lead our caregiving team in providing exceptional support and quality of life for residents. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in senior care, assisted living, or nursing home environments, with a passion for person-centered care and team leadership. As the Resident Care Assistant Supervisor, you will oversee daily caregiving operations, ensure compliance with care standards, and foster a compassionate, safe, and engaging environment for residents with diverse needs, including those requiring memory care and dementia support. Duties Supervise and coordinate the activities of Resident Care Assistants to ensure high-quality delivery of personal care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support. Provide direct support to residents. Monitor residents' vital signs and health status regularly, documenting changes and communicating effectively with healthcare professionals. Lead staff training on essential caregiving skills. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including proper sanitation, cleaning routines, and safe handling practices. Facilitate a positive team environment by providing mentorship, conducting performance evaluations, and promoting ongoing professional development. Support residents' transition between home care settings or community programs while maintaining continuity of care. Perform cleaning duties in assigned areas following established schedules and using prescribed methods. Assist in cleaning of emergency spills, observed or upon request. Maintain assigned equipment for cleanliness and have repairs made when necessary. Perform supervisory functions. Observe and report the need to repair equipment, furniture, building and fixtures. If needed, discuss issues with staff and document discussion, perform all write-ups. Review all documentation of staff. Skills Proven experience in long-term care settings such as nursing homes or personal care homes with a focus on senior or memory care. Strong knowledge of assisted living practices, dementia care techniques, and behavior management strategies. Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff members, and healthcare providers. Ability to perform essential caregiving tasks including assisting with ADLs and vital signs measurement confidently. Knowledge of emergency response procedures such as first aid certification and crisis intervention techniques.
Pay:
$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
