A person who understands that senior care requires both skill and heart. This position is for someone who sees caregiving as more than a job. This position is best suited for someone who is dependable, observant, respectful, organized, and willing to take ownership of the quality of care provided each day. The right person will be hands-on, observant, steady under pressure, and able to lead by example while helping other caregivers grow in skill, responsibility, and confidence. The Personal Care Assistant Supervisor will support the daily care of residents, guide and monitor personal care assistants, help maintain quality standards, prepare monthly staff schedules and daily assignment sheets, replace call-ins, assist in selecting and building a dependable care team, and serve as a positive role model for the team. This position requires both caregiving ability and leadership character. The ideal candidate is someone who: Has a strong personal mission to serve seniors with kindness, patience, and respect. Demonstrates reliability, job stability, and commitment. Leads by example rather than by title alone. Is willing to work hands-on alongside the team. Takes pride in doing the right thing even when no one is watching. Wants to mentor others and help build a stronger caregiver team. Is organized and able to help manage schedules, daily assignments, staffing coverage, and call-in replacements. Has the judgment to help identify dependable, compassionate, and capable caregivers who are a good fit for the team. Will not only supervise tasks — but will help set the tone for how residents are treated, how caregivers grow, how daily care is organized, and how the team works together each day.

Qualifications:

Prior experience in assisted living, senior care, personal care, caregiving, or a related setting preferred. Prior leadership, shift lead, supervisor, scheduling, or mentoring experience preferred. Ability to prepare schedules, daily assignments, and staffing coverage plans. Ability to replace call-ins and communicate staffing needs in a timely and professional manner. Strong observation skills and attention to detail; notices resident needs before being told. Dependable attendance and stable work history strongly preferred. Communication & People Skills to communicate well & work cooperatively with residents, families, caregivers, management. Ability to remain calm, respectful, and professional under pressure. Must demonstrate compassion, honesty, maturity, and good judgment. Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and assist residents during the shift. Ability to perform hands-on caregiving duties as needed.
