Job Description

Position Description:
Do you enjoy being in the great outdoors? Looking for a part-time job up to 30 hours a week? Girl Scouts Louisiana East is hiring a part-time assistant to help keep Camp Marydale clean, safe, and ready for campers. This is a great job for a dependable high school senior, recent graduate, or student who enjoys being outside and working with their hands. What You'll Do (Overview) Cut grass and help with basic lawn care Weed, trim, rake, and clean up outdoor areas Pick up sticks, limbs, trash, and debris Help keep trails, walkways, activity areas, and outdoor spaces neat Assist with simple pool-area cleanup, such as sweeping the deck, straightening chairs, and removing leaves or trash Follow safety instructions and use only approved tools and equipment What We're Looking For (Minimum Requirements) Must be at least 16 years old Reliable, respectful, and willing to work hard Must be acclimated to and comfortable working outdoors in heat, high humidity, and changing weather Able to follow directions and work as part of a team Prior yard work or lawn care experience is required Important Notes for Applicants Under 18 Applicants who are 16 or 17 may be considered. Minor employees must have a required employment certificate on file before starting work and may only perform age-appropriate, legally permitted duties.
