Job Description

Personal Care Assistant / Companion for Elderly Parents We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and patient individual (or potentially multiple individuals for different shifts/hours) to assist our elderly parents in their home. This role is ideal for someone who genuinely enjoys helping seniors maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life. Our parents are 77 and 80 years old. One parent is legally blind, and the other is experiencing early-stage cognitive decline and memory challenges. Both would benefit from companionship, assistance with errands and appointments, light household support, and help staying organized with day-to-day tasks. This is intended to be a warm, family-oriented environment, and we are looking for someone who can become a trusted support person in their lives.
Responsibilities Include:
Providing companionship and social interaction Assisting with transportation to appointments, shopping, errands, and outings Helping organize and sort weekly medications Assisting with paying bills and general household organization Light housekeeping and laundry Occasional deeper monthly cleaning tasks Mobility assistance, including helping safely navigate stairs Grocery shopping and occasional meal assistance Providing gentle reminders and support with routines and memory-related tasks Monitoring for general safety and well-being Communicating with family members regarding concerns or changes
Ideal Candidate:
Kind, patient, reliable, and trustworthy Comfortable working in a private home environment Experience assisting seniors or individuals with memory challenges, vision impairment, or mobility limitations preferred Calm, understanding, and able to provide reassurance when needed Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required Able to assist with mobility and stair navigation safely Organized and detail-oriented CPR/First Aid certification is a plus, but not required
Schedule :
We are open to flexible arrangements and may hire more than one person to cover different days/hours. Part-time availability is welcome.
Compensation:

$23.19 - $27.93 per hour
