Job Description
Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aides to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. As a Home Health Aide, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by assisting them with daily activities and personal care. This position requires a commitment to delivering high-quality care while fostering a supportive and respectful environment. Duties Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, encouraging social interaction and engagement. Monitor and report changes in clients' health status to healthcare professionals. Help clients with mobility and physical exercises as prescribed by their healthcare team. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring that their living space is tidy and organized. Document care provided and any observations regarding the client's condition using electronic health record systems such as eClinicalWorks or Epic. Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care for clients, including those with specific needs in geriatrics or behavioral health. Skills Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. Experience or knowledge in home care, caregiving, or hospital medicine is preferred. Familiarity with electronic health record systems (eClinicalWorks, Epic) is a plus. Ability to perform basic medical tasks such as phlebotomy if required. Understanding of geriatrics and outpatient care principles is beneficial. Compassionate nature with a strong desire to help others improve their quality of life. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients and healthcare professionals.
