They take pride in assisting individuals in achieving goals by maintaining knowledge of their learning styles, strengths and support needs and ensures that skills are taught accordingly. Daily administering and documenting each individuals medications as prescribed by a physician in accordance with the Medication Administration Policy (MAP) is a must. We provide MAP training if not certified. Previous experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or physical disabilities preferred however training is provided for those not having the experience but heart for this work.

Requirements:

Possession of a valid driver's license, a safe driving record , and an agreement to use one's personal vehicle for business purposes if so required. Acceptable Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) & Fingerprinting required MAP certification is required within three months of hire date - Higher pay rate is based on being MAP certified Required physical assistance includes but is not limited to: Pushing, pulling or lifting up to 50 lbs. Transferring people of adult weight ranges to and from wheelchairs, or other adaptive equipment. Demonstrating CPR skills on the floor, which is a requirement for certification.
