Job Description

Overview Join our dedicated team as a Direct Support Professional - Day Services and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, personalized support to help individuals achieve greater independence, enhance their daily living skills, and participate fully in community activities. Your energy and enthusiasm will foster a positive environment where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered to thrive. Responsibilities Support individuals in developing social skills and behavioral health strategies through positive reinforcement and behavior management techniques. Facilitate participation in community outings, recreational activities, and educational programs to promote engagement and independence. Collect and document data related to progress, behavior patterns, and service outcomes to ensure personalized care plans are effective. Utilize communication skills to effectively interact with individuals with diverse communication needs. Maintain a safe environment by adhering to health and safety protocols, including home & community care standards. Collaborate with team members, families, and other professionals to coordinate care plans and support services. Requirements Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is highly preferred. Knowledge of behavior management techniques and behavioral health principles. Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with individuals of all ages. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for community outings or appointments. Experience assisting with ADLs, caregiving tasks, or in a home & community care setting. Ability to collect accurate data and maintain detailed records of services provided. Certification or training in medication administration is a plus; willingness to obtain necessary certifications if not already held. Familiarity alternative communication methods is advantageous. Pay:
$20.00 - $22.00 per hour
