is excited to announce a fresh job opening for dedicated and compassionate Home Health Aids and Companions. This opportunity is framed as a Contract/Temporary position based within our dynamic team. Please note that this role is not eligible for remote work and requires physical presence at our clients' locations. Our Home Health Aids and Companions play a critical role in our commitment to providing top-notch care and support to our clients who may be elderly, recovering from surgery, disabled, or need help managing chronic health conditions. Duties and Responsibilities Provide personalized daily care to clients according to their individual care plans. Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Prepare meals considering clients' preferences and dietary restrictions. Help maintain a safe and clean living environment for clients. Monitor and document clients' progress or any changes in their condition in a timely and accurate manner. Provide companionship and engage in conversations to keep clients mentally healthy and alert. Administer medications as prescribed and oversee their effects. Perform daily vital signs checks if required and report anomalies. Accompany clients to appointments or social events to ensure their well-being during transit and from place to place. Effectively communicate with family members and other team members about clients' status and care. Manage emergency situations with composure and report any emergencies to relevant authorities or family members immediately. Requirements Proven work experience as a Home Health Aide, Companion, or similar role in the healthcare sector. Certification in CPR and first aid is essential. Familiarity with basic nutrition and personal hygiene standards. Proficiency in maintaining sanitary and safe living environments. Ability to perform all physical requirements of the job, including assisting in lifting and transferring clients, as needed. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation, which may be necessary for client transport. Empathy and the ability to care for the client's social, emotional, physical, and mental health. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Trustworthy and respectful with the ability to maintain client confidentiality. Demonstrated ability to follow written and oral instructions. Capability to manage time effectively and adapt quickly to changing priorities. We provide home health care services to Baltimore City, Howard County, Anne Arundel County, Prince George's County, and Montgomery County.
