LOOKING FOR APPLICANTS TO PROVIDE SERVICE IN SPECIFIC MARYLAND COUNTIES
BALTIMORE, CARROLL, HOWARD, HARFORD, AND
MONTGOMERY COUNTIES

Job Summary:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated One-on-One Out-of-Home Aides to provide one-on-one behavioral interventions with children and youth receiving specialty mental health services in the client's home/residential placement/school or during community outings; performs related work as assigned. In this role, you will assist clients in their daily activities, promote independence, and ensure their overall safety and well-being in a home or community setting. Your contributions will be vital in enhancing the quality of life for those you support. Aide cannot transport clients nor administer medication. Services provided are intended to promote:
  • Safety and stability,
  • Conflict de-escalation and conflict resolution, and
  • Age-appropriate behaviors, interpersonal communication and problem-solving.
Essential Duties:
Provides one-on-one direct behavioral intervention. Assists with daily living activities and personal care. Serves as a positive role model. Remains responsive to client's needs. Ensures a safe and supportive environment by adhering to health and safety protocols. Assists the client in engaging in, or remain engaged in, appropriate activities. Maintain confidentiality. Responsible for creating and updating daily contact reports within 24 hours of service delivery. Document activities and services in 15-minute intervals, as required: youth goals, challenges, services provided, and activities engaged in.
Required:
Proficient in English (written and verbal). Proficient in Spanish is a plus. Must be at least 21 years of age. Must complete 20-40 hours of pre-employment training including CPI-Advance Skills. Also, annual and in-service trainings as required by licensing agency.
Must pass all background checks:
Federal CJIS, Maryland
CJIS, CPS
Clearance, OIG-Medicare/Medicaid Fraud, National Sex Offender Registry, and Maryland Judiciary Criminal Case Search Must have a valid Maryland ID Negative TB test result required for those placed in residential group home settings. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients. Compassionate, patient, and committed to providing high-quality support. Ability to work flexible hours as needed to meet client's requirements. Must be physically mobile. Must have reliable access to a telephone and email for work-related communication. Qualifications AA / BS degree in a human services field and 2 years of verifiable experience providing services to children/adolescents/transition-age youth independently in a community-based setting/mental health environment (Preferred) GED/High School Diploma with 3 years of verifiable experience as a one-to-one support aide. ABA certification (Preferred but not required) RCYCP certification is not required, but is a plus CPR / First Aid certification required before providing any services
