Job Description

Overview Join our dedicated team as a Direct Support Professional and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with diverse needs. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, personalized care to promote independence, safety, and well-being. Whether supporting seniors, individuals with developmental disabilities, or those experiencing memory care challenges, your efforts will foster a nurturing environment where clients feel valued and empowered. This paid position offers an opportunity to develop your caregiving skills while contributing to a community that truly cares. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor and observe patients' health status, including vital signs and behavioral changes, ensuring safety at all times Administer medication following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure compliance and confidentiality Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption as needed Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning duties in accordance with health standards Document care activities accurately in patient records and update care plans regularly Support clients during outings or community activities to promote social engagement and independence Requirements Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, and HIPAA compliance are required or must be obtained upon hire Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate mobility aids like Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia (including Alzheimer's and memory care), or hospice care is advantageous Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members, clients, and families A compassionate attitude combined with patience, adaptability, and a commitment to quality patient care Shift 3am-11pm Join us in providing exceptional support that enhances lives every day! Pay:
$17.00 - $18.00 per hour
