Direct Support Professional

Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Service Provider to join our team. This role is essential in providing support and assistance to individuals with disabilities, ensuring they receive the care they need in a respectful and empowering environment. The ideal candidate will have a background in social work or caregiving, with a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those they serve. Responsibilities Provide direct support to individuals with disabilities, assisting them in daily living activities. Assist with meal preparation, ensuring nutritional needs are met. Monitor and document vital signs as required, maintaining accurate records. Implement care plans developed by case managers or healthcare professionals. Support clients in personal hygiene and grooming tasks. Facilitate community engagement and social activities for clients. Assist clients with mobility and heavy lifting when necessary. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients at all times. Communicate effectively with families, caregivers, and healthcare providers regarding client needs. Qualifications Experience in social work, case management, or caregiving preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology and basic healthcare practices. Ability to perform vital sign checks and respond to health-related concerns. Experience working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients. Physical ability to assist clients with heavy lifting and mobility support. Knowledge of systems related to disability services is a plus. A compassionate approach to caregiving, demonstrating patience and understanding.
