Direct Support Professional

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support and care to individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Administer first aid and medication as needed
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding
• Support individuals in community integration and social activities
• Provide transportation to appointments, outings, and activities
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for individuals

Experience:

• Experience or Interest working with people with disabilities or other behavioral issues.
• Ability to provide support in a respectful manner that meets the various needs of the person supported.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Commitment to understanding individual developmental, physical, and/or emotional limitations.

Requirements:

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
