$19.50•$20 per hour (Depending on years of experience) Catholic Charities of Baltimore is currently seeking a Direct Support Professional who will provides quality living support (physical, social, behavioral, career, and personal) to persons with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (IDD) living and working in the community.

The work schedule is:

25 hours per week•Monday-Friday 3 PM•8 PM. Gallagher Services supports adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in living the life of their choice. Adults are supported in living, working and being involved in the community as independently as possible. The Cornerstones of the program are Person-Centered Planning and the mission and values of Catholic Charities.

You'll spend your days providing support to a person who enjoys: Singing Karaoke Painting nails Coloring pictures Dancing Going Shopping This group is looking for someone who is kind, dependable, a good communicator, and most of all—someone who enjoys spending time with them. How You'll Support:

Offer encouraging verbal prompts and gentle reminders that support the person in staying focused and initiating their daily tasks, while honoring their pace and preferences. Help promote independence Support the person in building confidence and skills to manage their money and make informed, independent purchasing decisions. Be patient and respectful in action and speaking Advocate for each person's rights and help build their confidence and sense of self Keep clear, respectful records to ensure continuity of care and support

Minimum Requirements:

Must be at least 21 years old Valid driver's license with at least 2 years of driving experience and no more than 3 points Comfortable driving agency vehicles and assisting people who use wheelchairs Able to lift up to 75 pounds, stand for long periods, and provide physical assistance when needed Completion of Medication Technician Training Program (or willingness to complete)
