DSP (Direct Support Professional) Part-Time Kent Buhrman LLC Job Description Seeking Personal Support Staff to provide one-on-one support 3 days per week on Saturday or Sunday (8 hour shift) and 2 weekday evenings (4 hour shifts) to a 30 YO woman who has developmental disabilities and related caregiving needs, utilizing DDA Self-Directed Services to ensure she has the support needed to live in her home and community as independently as possible in the Westminster area.

You will be an employee of the individual you are supporting and paid through a fiscal management service. You will not be an employee of Kent Buhrman, LLC.

Kent Buhrman at kbuhrmanllc@gmail.com This position provides direct supervision and person-centered support with a wide range of skills. You will assist the individual with:

• Maximizing independence by reinforcing life, safety, and social skills
• Providing 1:1 arm's length supervision in the community and line of sight supervision in the home
• Engaging in meaningful community activities
• Providing personal assistance as necessary, including assistance with personal hygiene
• Behavioral Support, as needed, applicant must be able to follow behavior plan protocols

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in a related field is a plus (applicant must be 18 years of age or older)
• Must pass a criminal background check
• Must have a valid Driver's License with less than two points and reliable transportation
• Must have a valid CPR & First Aid Certification (trainings must include in person skills training component; hybrid class is okay)
• Prior training and experience working with individuals with I/DD including autism is preferred. RBT certification is desired
• Positive energy, team player, and ability to remain calm under pressure.
