Job Description

Welcome to Family First Developmental Disability Solutions, where you'll be rewarded for your work and supported in your professional growth. Direct Support Professional (DSP)
Position :
Part Time Compensation :
$22 per hour Please note that all schedules are for supporting clients in a 1:1 ratio within their own homes and the community. These clients reside within the Portland/Westbrook area. Clearly defined duties. Flexible schedules. Paid Training Mileage Reimbursement and paid travel between clients 401K match Administrators are readily available to staff Work that is meaningful and makes a difference!
Responsibilities:
Follow a detailed care plan with goals specific to each client's needs and be respectful of each client's wishes and personal preferences.
Domestic support skills such as:
cooking, cleaning, medication assistance, scheduling and attending medical appointments, shopping, transportation, and housing management. Working on an array of goals to support clients in accessing social activities and utilizing community resources. Community inclusion support will likely include: attending social and volunteering events with client, encouraging client involvement in community, advocating for client, and providing transportation Ensuring client's health and safety. Working with others in the interest of the individuals we support. Proper documentation compliance in accordance with State of ME regulatory guidelines and practices using the ClearCare/Well Sky phone app.
Qualifications:
One year of DSP experience is preferred High School Diploma or G.E.D. as well as proof of completion. At least 18 years of age. Legally eligible to work in the United States. Pass a criminal, drug, and driving background check. Own a smartphone. Ability to keep online records and communicate via email. Have a valid Driver's License. Reliable transportation and proof of insurance. Have or be willing to obtain CPR, First Aid, and other training as required per state of Maine or clients' Individualized Service Plans (ISPs) Have or be willing to obtain up-to-date, CDC-recommended immunizations for healthcare workers including: MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B and Seasonal Influenza. This support may include, but is not limited to: Coordinating appointments Providing transportation to and from appointments and community events Researching and supporting community engagement and enrichment activities Assisting with household tasks and organization Providing Activities of Daily Living (ADL) support as needed Advocacy and other duties as required, depending on client needs Given this information, would you be able to perform these above listed tasks? In this position, you will be providing one-on-one support to the client within their own home. This arrangement allows for personalized care and direct interaction, ensuring that the client receives tailored assistance based on their individual needs. As this role is conducted independently in the client's home, it is essential that you are comfortable working on your own. My available days and times to work are: The role of DSP (Direct Service Professional) within our company, involves working independently with clients in a 1:1 ratio, primarily within their own homes and communities, rather than in a group home setting.
