Home Health Aide (HHA)

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aide to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while promoting independence. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and the ability to work effectively with individuals with various health conditions, including those with developmental disabilities and dementia. Responsibilities Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients. Help with household tasks such as laundry, meal preparation, and light housekeeping. Administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health status. Assist with mobility and physical exercises to promote physical health. Provide catheter care and other specialized health-related tasks as needed. Maintain accurate records of client care and report any concerns to the supervising nurse or healthcare professional. Ensure a safe environment for clients by adhering to safety protocols and guidelines. Experience Previous experience in home community care or home health settings is preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology is highly beneficial. Certification in CPR is a plus. Experience working with individuals who have developmental disabilities or dementia is desirable. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients are essential.
