Looking for part-time work you love we are looking for a home care person to fill in for every Wednesday and Friday for the hours between 8am-6pm. Alternating every Sunday, and possible a Saturday once a month. Responsibilities Provide personal care services, including assistance with bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting. Administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition. Assist clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety while lifting or repositioning as needed. Support clients with daily living activities such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and companionship. Monitor vital signs and report any significant changes to healthcare professionals or family members. Maintain a respectful environment that upholds resident rights and dignity. Provide specialized care for clients with conditions such as dementia or those requiring hospice care. Respond promptly to emergencies and provide first aid when necessary. All caregivers receive hands-on-orientation with each new patient. Requirements 2-5 year's experience in home care or a related field preferred (open to training) Knowledge of medication administration protocols and basic nursing skills is advantageous. Familiarity with care techniques and understanding of resident rights is essential. Ability to lift and assist clients safely while adhering to proper body mechanics. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare teams. Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others maintain their quality of life. Certification in first aid or CPR is a plus but can be obtained after hiring if necessary.
