Job Description

Lovejoy Community Services is seeking a caring, motivated Job coach/Direct Support Professional to support adults with developmental disabilities and/or mental illness in building independence through meaningful daily activities and employment. In this role, you will teach work skills, support individuals at community job sites, and help them reach their personal goals while working as part of a supportive, mission-driven team. What You'll Do Support individuals in day program and community employment settings. Provide job coaching and teach work-related skills. Document progress, employment outcomes, and daily activities. Assist with planning and leading community outings and skill-building activities. Attend Person-Centered Planning meetings as assigned. Promote independence, integration, safety, and consumer rights. Assist with transportation needs when necessary. Follow agency, Medicaid, and state regulatory standards. What We're Looking For High school diploma or equivalent. 1+ year experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities or mental illness (or completion of related training program). Ability to lift 25-35 lbs and assist consumers physically if needed. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Ability to work in community settings and occasional evenings. Strong communication, professionalism, and teamwork skills. Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Outlook). Certifications (or willingness to obtain): CPR/First Aid, Medication Administration, Crisis Prevention & Intervention. Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
