The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to promoting independence, safety, and well-being for residents in various care settings. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you serve by delivering personalized support with professionalism and empathy. All positions are paid roles committed to fostering a respectful and inclusive environment. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary. Monitor residents' health status by taking vital signs, observing changes in behavior or condition, and reporting findings accurately to healthcare professionals. Support medication administration in accordance with care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs, including meal planning and cooking in accordance with health guidelines. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing routine cleaning tasks, laundry, and sanitation procedures within group home or assisted living settings. Implement individualized care plans designed by healthcare teams, focusing on promoting independence and enhancing quality of life. Engage residents in social activities and community outings to foster social interaction, cognitive stimulation, and emotional well-being. Document care activities accurately while adhering to privacy standards such as HIPAA; participate in ongoing training related to patient observation, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, autism support, hospice care, and other specialized services. Qualifications Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly desirable. Knowledge of patient observation techniques, dementia care strategies—including Alzheimer's and memory care—and working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges. Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; additional training in medication administration or nursing assistance is preferred. Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks associated with caregiving responsibilities. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members from diverse backgrounds. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations ensuring confidentiality of patient information at all times. Experience with assisting residents with mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts or resident's personal assistive devices is advantageous. Demonstrated commitment to compassionate caregiving through patience, empathy, and a respectful approach to individual needs.
