Job Description

Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Full-Time Home Health Aide to provide essential care and support to clients in the comfort of their homes. The ideal candidate is committed to improving the quality of life of individuals who may be living with developmental disabilities, dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other health-related challenges. This role requires excellent caregiving skills, reliability, and the ability to monitor and report changes in a client's condition. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and meal preparation. Provide companionship and emotional support while promoting client independence and dignity. Monitor and document vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, when required. Assist clients with medication reminders and ensure adherence to care plans and safety protocols. Support client mobility and transfers, including the use of Hoyer lifts and other assistive equipment when necessary. Perform light housekeeping duties, including laundry, tidying, and maintaining a safe living environment. Provide specialized support for clients with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or other cognitive impairments through meaningful engagement and activities. Accurately document care provided and client observations in electronic medical record (EMR/EHR) systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance. Communicate effectively with supervisors, family members, and healthcare professionals regarding client needs and changes in condition. Follow individualized care plans and agency policies to ensure high-quality client care. Qualifications Previous experience in home health care, assisted living, nursing homes, hospice, or long-term care settings preferred. CPR certification required. Additional caregiving or home care certifications are a plus. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or hospice patients is highly desirable. Strong observational and communication skills. Ability to perform light housekeeping and meal preparation. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and medical documentation is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus. Must be dependable, compassionate, and able to work independently. Must pass a background check. Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Why Join Us?
