Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Care Worker to join our team. As a Direct Care Worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to individuals with varying needs, including those with autism and senior care. Your role will involve assisting with daily living activities, providing emotional support, and promoting independence and well-being. Duties:
  • Provide direct support to clients with autism and senior care needs, focusing on their specific needs and goals.
  • Assist with daily living activities such as personal care, medication management, and meal preparation.
  • Help clients with mobility and lifting, as needed, and ensure their safety and comfort at all times.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, and pulse rate.
  • Support clients with hospice care, focusing on their comfort and quality of life.
  • Drive clients to medical appointments, social events, or other activities, ensuring their safety and comfort during transportation.
  • Promote independence and well-being by assisting with daily routines and providing emotional support.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop personalized care plans that meet the unique needs of each client.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of client care, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide support and assistance in the client's home, including light housekeeping and meal preparation.
Experience:
  • Previous experience working in a direct support or home care setting is highly desirable.
  • Experience working with individuals with autism, senior care needs, or hospice care is preferred.
  • Ability to lift and assist clients with mobility issues is essential.
  • Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle are required for transporting clients.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and a degree in a related field such as nursing or social work is an asset.
  • This role requires a strong commitment to delivering exceptional care and support to individuals with varying needs.
