In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals with developmental disabilities, assisting them in daily living activities and promoting their independence. Your commitment to patient care and your ability to foster a supportive environment will be crucial in enhancing the quality of life for those you serve. Responsibilities Assist individuals with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide personal care and support in a group home or assisted living setting. Monitor and document patient vital signs and overall well-being. Implement care plans tailored to the individual needs of each resident. Assist with medication administration as required. Engage residents in meaningful activities that promote socialization and cognitive engagement. Maintain a clean and safe living environment, including light housekeeping duties. Support individuals with mobility needs, including the use of Hoyer lifts when necessary. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance residents' quality of life. Uphold HIPAA regulations to ensure the confidentiality and privacy of all residents. Experience Preferred candidates will have experience in the following areas: Working with people with developmental disabilities, autism, or dementia care. Group home or nursing home environments, including long-term care experience. Home health or hospice care settings. Patient observation and monitoring skills, including vital signs assessment. First aid and CPR certification is highly desirable. Familiarity with caregiving practices, memory care techniques, and social work principles is a plus.
