Full Job Description Summary:

If you have personal or professional experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities, we may have the job for you! We are looking for DSP's that have a passion for helping others, love empowering individuals to reach their goals, and who always put the person served first. The Direct Support Professional plays a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of the individuals that live in community residential homes in the southern suburbs (Bloomington, Edina, Richfield, and Eagan). As a Direct Support Professional, you will get to join individuals in activities like cooking, watching movies, doing crafts, and exploring the outdoors AND get paid to do it!

Shifts:

We have a variety of different shifts available throughout the company. Let us know your availability and we will try to accommodate. We have homes in the surrounding area: Bloomington, Savage, Richfield, Eagan, Areas.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Direct Support Professionals are responsible for assisting individuals with their day to day activities. Each individual we support has varying abilities and interests, so responsibilities may vary based on their needs. The individuals we serve require support and encouragement to reach their hopes, dreams, and goals. Most of the individuals require assistance with medication administration and supervision. Many individuals need assistance (or encouragement) with tasks of daily living such as oral hygiene, bathing, hair care, etc. Direct Support Professionals are required to ensure that assigned tasks and other preferred activities are supported throughout their shift and done in a person centered way. Communication with other DSP's and supervisors is a must, as is documenting the events of the day.

Requirements and Qualifications:

Experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities. Passion for helping individuals and a person centered approach to service delivery. Ability to pass a Background Study Valid Driver's License' 'Work Remotely No Benefits - zayzoon : Get paid on demand!
