We are seeking a dependable and outgoing Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support residents living independently in their own apartments. In this role, you aren't just a caregiver; you are a partner in independence. Your goal is to help our residents navigate their daily lives, maintain an organized home, and stay active within their community.
Duties Community Integration:
Provide reliable transportation and accompaniment for doctor's appointments, grocery shopping, and social outings.Home Organization:
Assist residents with light housekeeping, organizing personal spaces, and maintaining a clean, comfortable living environment.Plan Implementation:
Follow individualized care plans to ensure residents are meeting their personal goals and receiving their allocated hours of service.Companionship:
Build meaningful relationships while acting as a bridge to the community, helping residents stay engaged and empowered.Documentation:
Maintain accurate, daily logs of services provided and progress made toward care plan goals. What This Role IS NOT To ensure the right fit, please note: No Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): No assistance with bathing, dressing, or toileting is required. Our residents are physically independent.No Medication Administration:
You will not be responsible for handling or administering medications.Requirements Valid Driver's License:
A clean driving record and a reliable vehicle for transporting residents are essential.Reliability:
Since you are the primary link to the community during your shift, punctual attendance is a must.Strong Communication:
Ability to collaborate with residents and follow specific care plan instructions.Compassion & Patience:
A genuine desire to help others maintain their independence and dignity.Background Check:
