Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs, observing patient conditions, and reporting changes promptly Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance Support residents during meal preparation, cooking, and feeding to promote proper nutrition and independence Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts and resident's for safe transfers and mobility assistance Maintain clean living environments by performing light cleaning duties in accordance with health standards Document care activities accurately, update care plans regularly, and communicate effectively with team members Requirements Prior experience working in assisted living, group homes, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred Certification in CPR, First Aid, and HIPAA compliance is required or obtainable upon hire Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, autism support, and hospice care is advantageous Ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities requiring specialized attention Strong patient observation skills to monitor vital signs and recognize changes in condition Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members, residents, families, and healthcare professionals Join us as a Direct Support Professional to be a vital part of a caring team dedicated to enriching lives through compassionate support.
