In this vital role, you will provide essential support to medical staff and patients across various inpatient and outpatient settings, including medical-surgical units, emergency departments, intensive care units, and specialized clinics. Your proactive approach will help create a comforting environment for patients during their most vulnerable moments while ensuring smooth clinical operations. Duties Assist nursing staff with routine patient care activities such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility assistance to promote comfort and independence. Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes or concerns promptly to the healthcare team. Support patients in their daily activities within various units including Geriatrics, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), and Post-acute care settings. Prepare patient rooms and ensure cleanliness and safety standards are maintained throughout the facility. Document patient interactions accurately in medical records following hospital protocols. Help facilitate communication between patients and clinical staff to ensure needs are addressed efficiently. Assist with equipment setup, specimen collection, and other clinical tasks under supervision to support diagnostic and treatment procedures. Requirements Prior experience in Level II trauma centers or Level I Trauma Centers is highly desirable, demonstrating familiarity with high-acuity environments. Experience working within hospital medicine, emergency medicine, or medical-surgical units is preferred. Knowledge of inpatient, outpatient, clinic, or sub-acute care settings enhances your ability to adapt quickly. Previous exposure to teaching hospitals or post-acute care environments is advantageous. Strong communication skills and a compassionate attitude are essential for providing exceptional patient support. Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure. Certification in basic life support (BLS) or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to obtain certification is encouraged.
