In this role, you will assist individual residents of an adult residential group home, in their daily activities, promote independence, and support and enhance their quality of life. Your commitment to caregiving and patient monitoring will make a significant difference in the lives of those you support. We provide a person centered environment for all individuals we serve and promote a safe and healthy quality of life. Responsibilities Provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities, autism in various settings, including home care and community environments. Assist individuals with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, basic housekeeping and medication management. Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents by ensuring proper hygiene and cleanliness in living spaces. Encouraging the residents to participate in meaningful activities that promote social interaction, skill development, and personal growth. Document daily progress and any significant changes in behavior or health status accurately. Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to create individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each resident. Qualifications Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is preferred. Strong understanding of caregiving principles, including patient monitoring and home care practices. Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to caregiving. Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect the dignity of all clients. Must be able to work flexible hours, day shifts, and specifically afternoons (12p-8p or 2p-10p) with every other weekend rotation Must have a valid drivers license, and transportation to and from work.
