This position involves assisting residents in their daily activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The caregiver will work closely with clients to promote independence and enhance their quality of life through personalized care plans. Duties Provide direct personal care to residents, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support meal preparation and ensure dietary needs are met for each resident. Observe and document patient behaviors and progress, reporting any significant changes to the appropriate personnel. Assist residents with mobility needs, including heavy lifting when necessary. Uphold resident rights and dignity while fostering a respectful and supportive environment. Collaborate with social workers and other healthcare professionals to implement effective care plans tailored to individual needs. Engage residents in social activities to promote community involvement and personal development. Maintain a clean and safe living environment for all residents. Qualifications Previous experience in assisted living or direct patient care is preferred. Knowledge of resident rights and advocacy for individuals with developmental disabilities. Strong observational skills for monitoring patient behavior and health status. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the needs of the residents. Familiarity with meal preparation techniques that accommodate dietary restrictions. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members. A compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to improve the lives of those you support. Certification in CPR/First Aid is a plus but not required at hiring; training will be provided. This position is ideal for individuals who are dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of others while working in a supportive team environment.
