Job Description

Independent Living Partners is seeking for an experienced PCA in the Minneapolis-St Paul area. We are looking for a competent personal care assistants to provide care for individuals in their everyday lives. The fulfilment and satisfaction that comes with helping others surpasses the challenges of this job. If you're a compassionate, positive person who isn't afraid to work hard, then this is a job for you. We expect you to be polite and a good communicator. Experience in housekeeping tasks and caring for the elderly or individuals with physical and behavioral challenges will make you a strong candidate. Responsibilities Assist individuals receive their medication on time Support individuals who can't move on their own Help individuals with eating, dressing, bathing, mobility, transfers, toilet use, positioning, personal hygiene etc. Assist individuals with meal preparations according to the individuals satisfaction & health restrictions Do necessary housekeeping to maintain a clean environment Provide emotional support Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency Communicate with individuals' care team about their care Attend appointments with individuals Advocate for individuals well-being and provide companionship during the process of care Maintain a clean and tidy room at all times Maintain professional relationships with patients' family members or friends Adhere to health & safety standards/goals Provide respite for caregivers Skills Proven experience as personal care assistant Committed to health & safety Able to do housework and cooking Well-organized and reliable Excellent communication and people skills Positive and compassionate attitude Strong ethics Physical stamina CPR certified High school diploma or equivalent A valid driver's license
