In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, respectful assistance to help clients maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life. Whether working in assisted living facilities, community settings, or private homes, your energetic and caring approach will foster a safe and nurturing environment for those you serve. This paid position offers an opportunity to develop your skills in patient care while making a positive impact every day. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor and observe patients for changes in condition, reporting any concerns promptly to healthcare professionals Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary Support residents with medication reminders and administration following proper protocols and HIPAA guidelines Maintain cleanliness of living spaces by performing light cleaning duties to promote hygiene and comfort Operate equipment such as Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs safely to assist with transfers and mobility Document care activities accurately in care plans, including vital signs, patient observations, and progress notes Qualifications Prior experience in group homes, assisted living, nursing homes, or home health care preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to monitor vital signs effectively Certification in CPR and First Aid required; additional training in dementia or Alzheimer's care is a plus Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks as needed Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or memory care needs highly desirable Strong communication skills and compassionate attitude dedicated to providing exceptional patient-centered care Join us if you're passionate about caregiving and eager to support individuals through personalized assistance that enhances their well-being.
