In this role, you will provide personalized support, promote safety, and help individuals live as independently as possible. This is a paid position offering meaningful, hands-on caregiving experience. Duties Assist individuals with Activities of Daily Living Monitor patient health by taking vital signs, observing behavior, and reporting changes promptly to healthcare professionals Support medication administration following HIPAA guidelines and care plans to ensure safety and compliance Prepare nutritious meals aligned with dietary restrictions and preferences while maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning tasks and adherence to health standards Engage residents or clients in social activities, community outings, and recreational programs to promote socialization and mental stimulation Document care activities accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies Qualifications Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly desirable Knowledge of patient observation techniques, dementia care including Alzheimer's and memory care, and working with individuals with autism or disabilities is preferred Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks associated with patient transfer using equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident lifts Strong communication skills with a compassionate approach to patient care and teamwork Experience in medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and developing or following care plans is advantageous Valid background check clearance; commitment to maintaining confidentiality and privacy standards Join us as a Direct Support Professional where your dedication transforms lives!
