DSP Dragonfly Children's Respite - 3.0 Richfield, MN Job Details Part-time | Full-time $22 an hour 22 hours ago Benefits Paid training Flexible schedule Qualifications Care documentation No experience needed Developmental disability care assistance Assisting with ADLs Driver's License Direct support Full Job Description Direct Support Professional (DSP) - In‑Home Respite Care (Young Adult) We are hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide in‑home support for a young adult receiving respite services. This role focuses on safety, skill‑building, daily living support, and creating a calm, structured environment. Responsibilities Provide support with daily living tasks (meals, hygiene reminders, household routines) Engage the individual in appropriate activities at home and in the community Follow the individual's care plan, behavior support strategies, and safety procedures Support emotional regulation and use de‑escalation techniques when needed Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment Provide transportation for outings or appointments (if applicable) Complete shift documentation accurately and on time Communicate clearly with the supervisor about concerns, changes, or incidents Requirements Must be 21 or older Able to pass a DHS background study Reliable, patient, and able to maintain professional boundaries Comfortable supporting a young adult with developmental and behavioral needs Willing to complete required training (meds, CPR/First Aid, 245D trainings) Valid driver's license preferred (if transportation is part of the role) No experience required — training is provided Schedule & Pay Part‑time or full‑time shifts available Consistent scheduling Paid training Competitive hourly rate Why Work With Us Supportive home environment Meaningful work with a positive impact Ongoing training and guidance Opportunity to build strong, consistent rapport with one individual
