Personal Care Assistant (PCA) Safa Homecare Roseville, MN Job Details Part-time | Full-time $17 - $19 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Hospice experience First aid Assisting with ADLs Home health Bathing assistance Full Job Description Job Summary Join our compassionate team as a Personal Care Assistant (PCA), where you'll play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals requiring assistance with daily activities. This energetic and rewarding position involves providing personalized care, supporting independence, and fostering a safe and nurturing environment. Whether working in assisted living facilities, home care settings, or group homes, you will be a dedicated partner in promoting well-being and dignity for those you serve. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, reporting changes, and maintaining accurate care records Support medication administration following HIPAA guidelines and care plans developed by healthcare professionals Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary Operate equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices to ensure safe patient transfers and mobility Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning duties and infection control practices Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being and social engagement Document patient progress, update care plans, and communicate effectively with healthcare teams about any concerns or observations Experience Prior experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, home health care, or group homes is highly preferred Knowledge of caring for individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia (including Alzheimer's), autism, or memory care needs Hands-on experience with patient observation, vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and emergency response procedures such as CPR and first aid Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy of patient information Experience assisting with mobility using Hoyer lifts or similar equipment is advantageous Background in long-term care or hospice environments demonstrating compassion and resilience in caregiving roles Ability to work effectively with diverse populations including seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those requiring specialized care such as hospice or dementia support Join us to make a meaningful difference every day!
