Partnership Resources, Inc. is seeking a full-time Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities in our day program. DSPs are key advocates who foster joyful living by supporting individual choice, skill development and community exploration. This full-time DSP
  • Specialist position is similar to being the lead teacher of a classroom, providing dedicated hands-on support to an assigned caseload. As a DSP
  • Specialist, you will: Develop and implement activities that build life skills or offer social engagement through recreation. We do everything! BINGO, karaoke, music therapy, job readiness, math, reading, healthy living, art and social skills are just a few examples Accompany individuals on field trips and to volunteer sites
  • assisting people to explore and connect with their community in an inclusive way Support a caseload of individuals

A Pay:
$17.50
  • $18.
50 per hour depending on experience
Schedule:
Monday
  • Friday 8 AM

Requirements:
No experience necessary. All training is provided. We are passionate about helping people explore a new career as a DSP, or provide a pathway to further opportunities! Multilingual candidates who speak Spanish, Hmong, Somali, Oromo or American Sign Language are encouraged to apply. Language skills help us to coordinate services and support participation for individuals served Must be able to pass a background check with the MN Department of Human Services Must be authorized to work in the United States without a sponsor visa Minimum age requirement is 18 years Must be able to regularly push/pull/lift 21-50 pounds Ability to withstand 6 or more hours of standing or walking in an 8-hour workday Ability and willingness to assist individuals in activities of daily living including feeding, restroom assistance and other self-help skills Basic computer and technology skills. This position utilizes the computer daily, i.e. for lesson planning, report writing and documentation of goals & outcomes This position does not require you to transport individuals Our vision is that every person with disabilities thrives in an inclusive community.
