Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team in providing exceptional care and assistance to individuals with diverse needs. In this vital role, you will support residents in their daily activities, promote independence, and foster a safe, respectful environment. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs, observing patient conditions, and reporting changes promptly Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and safety Prepare nutritious meals, assist with cooking, and maintain cleanliness in resident living areas Operate equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts safely during transfers and repositioning Document care activities accurately, including patient observations, and incident reports Engage residents in social activities and provide companionship to promote mental and emotional well-being Monthly trainings, provided through Star Services. Requirements Prior experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred Knowledge of patient monitoring, dementia care (including Alzheimer's and memory care), and hospice or home health experience is advantageous Certification in CPR, First Aid, and HIPAA compliance is required or obtainable upon hire Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks associated with caregiving duties Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members, residents, families, and healthcare professionals Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is a plus A compassionate attitude combined with patience, reliability, and a commitment to quality care Join us as a Direct Support Professional where your dedication transforms lives!
