Job Description

West Central industries was founded in 1962 and provides job skills, community job placement and non-vocational training to people with disabilities. We are looking for excellent candidates to help fulfill our mission by providing support and training to the individuals we serve. $20.50 per hour No Nights or Weekends! Monday -
Friday Hours Available:
Full-time Hours:
Monday - Friday, 7:15 am to 2:30 pm Responsibilities of a Direct Support Professional include: Participates in and supports life‑enrichment activities during Waivered Services programming hours as needed. Assists with supervising volunteer opportunities and community‑based crew activities. Supervises individuals on production tasks while directing and managing workflow to meet customer and WCI production schedules within assigned work pods. Actively participates in plan development and implements training according to each individual's CSSP Addendum. Accurately records daily time and attendance for persons served using electronic systems. Assists with cleaning and maintaining WCI program spaces as assigned. Qualifications of a Direct Support Professional include: Previous experience supporting individuals with disabilities is preferred. Possesses an energetic and outgoing personality that helps create a supportive, encouraging environment for individuals receiving care. Strong communication skills in both written and verbal forms. Excellent interpersonal abilities, including patience, empathy, and the capacity to remain calm and supportive in challenging situations. High school diploma or equivalent required. Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record. Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check. WCI is an equal opportunity employer (EOE).
