Job description: Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including acute care, senior care, and home community care. This role is crucial in ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients while assisting nursing staff with daily tasks. A strong understanding of medical terminology, physiology, and patient service is essential for success in this position. Duties Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility. Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to nursing staff. Provide basic care for patients with infectious diseases and those requiring memory care. Help with the administration of medications as directed by nursing staff. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to infection control protocols. Assist with the use of Durable Medical Equipment (DME) to enhance patient comfort and mobility. Support patients in understanding their treatment plans and encourage adherence to prescribed therapies. Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Requirements Completion of a Nursing Assistant training program or equivalent experience. Knowledge of medical terminology and basic physiology. Experience in acute care or senior care settings is preferred. Familiarity with emergency medicine protocols is a plus. Strong communication skills and a commitment to providing excellent patient service. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while demonstrating compassion and empathy towards patients. Willingness to learn about infectious disease care practices and memory care techniques. Pay:
