Job Description

Job Summary Join our dedicated team as a full time, 3pm-11pm Direct Support Professional. Applicant must also be able to work Saturday and Sunday, every other weekend , 7pm -7am. Your compassion and energy will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities. In this role, you will provide personalized support, assist with daily activities, and promote independence within a safe and nurturing environment. Your efforts will help consumers thrive by fostering social engagement, ensuring their safety, and supporting their overall well-being during afternoon and evening hours. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote comfort and independence. Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and document all medication administration in electronic medication administration record (MAR) system. Assist with preparing nutritious meals and snacks tailored to individual dietary needs while exercising consumer rights. Engage residents through social activities, conversation, and recreational programs to foster socialization and emotional well-being. Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties including assisting with cleaning consumer's home Document incidents, behavior management strategies, implementation strategies, and care activities thoroughly to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Drive residents when necessary for appointments or community outings, ensuring safe transportation practices. Follow all safety protocols including first aid procedures, emergency response plans, and infection control measures. Experience At least 2 years of working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities in general is preferred. Familiarity with medication administration procedures and vital signs monitoring. Certification in first aid , CPR , and Level 1 Medication Aid is a plus.
