Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to provide exceptional care and support to individuals with diverse needs, including developmental disabilities, aging, or health challenges. In this vital role, you will assist residents with daily activities, promote independence, and foster a safe and nurturing environment. Your energetic approach and attentive care will make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you serve. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) Prepare nutritious meals and assist with cooking while maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with health guidelines Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident's lifts to safely transfer individuals with mobility challenges Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment by performing light cleaning duties and adhering to infection control protocols Document care activities accurately in compliance with HIPAA and facility policies, including patient observations and progress notes Engage residents in social activities and provide companionship to enhance their emotional well-being Support residents during outings or community activities, fostering social integration and community engagement Participate in ongoing training on specialized areas of patient care Qualifications Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and family members while respecting patient confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines Compassionate attitude with patience for working with diverse populations including seniors and individuals with disabilities High School Diploma or equivalent Valid Drivers License, must obtain class E certification Join our team as a Direct Support Professional where your dedication fuels positive change! $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
