Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support and care to individuals in various settings, including assisted living facilities, home health environments, and community-based programs. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those with diverse needs, including seniors, individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia, or recovering from illness or injury. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and committed to promoting independence, safety, and well-being for every individual they serve. Paid positions are available for both entry-level and experienced applicants eager to contribute to quality care. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Monitor patients' vital signs and observe for any changes in health status or behavior Support medication administration in accordance with care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and safety Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and ensuring proper sanitation standards are met Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices to safely transfer residents or patients Document care activities accurately in compliance with facility policies and state regulations Provide emotional support and companionship to foster a positive environment for residents or clients Collaborate with healthcare teams to implement individualized care plans focusing on patient-centered goals Assist with community outings or social activities that promote engagement and quality of life Skills Proven experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, home health, or group home settings preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to recognize signs of deterioration or distress Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and confidentiality Certification in CPR and First Aid required; additional certifications such as Alzheimer's or dementia care are a plus Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate mobility aids like Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare professionals Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or memory care needs highly desirable Ability to follow detailed care plans accurately while maintaining flexibility for changing needs Compassionate attitude combined with a proactive approach to safety and patient monitoring Basic cooking skills for meal preparation aligned with dietary restrictions Join us in delivering compassionate care that transforms lives!
