Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to support individuals in their daily living activities. The ideal candidate will provide essential care and assistance to clients in various settings, including home community care, group homes, and nursing homes. This role requires a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those in need of support, ensuring their comfort and well-being. Duties Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing. Help with meal preparation and cooking nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment. Assist with mobility and physical activities, including heavy lifting when necessary. Implement care plans as directed by healthcare professionals to meet the specific needs of each client. Monitor clients' health status and report any changes or concerns to appropriate personnel. Support clients in engaging with their community through social activities or appointments. Must be able to deal with dementia and other mental issues. This is a day shift. Tuesday and Thursday 9a to Noon, Friday 8a to 6p, Saturday and Sunday 7a to 6p. Night Shift also coming open Monday through Thursday 10p to 8a. Requirements Previous experience in long-term care or patient care is preferred. Knowledge of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately. Experience working in group home or nursing home settings is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others. Certification in CPR and First Aid is a plus but not mandatory. Must have a valid drivers license. Job requires client transport in company owned vehicle.
