This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those with diverse needs, from elderly residents to individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia. The ideal candidate will be energetic, attentive, and committed to promoting independence, safety, and well-being for every person they serve. Paid positions are available for both full-time and part-time applicants eager to contribute their caregiving skills and grow within a supportive team. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using tools like Hoyer lifts or resident's Monitor patient vital signs and observe for any changes in health status, reporting findings accurately while adhering to HIPAA regulations Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal planning and preparation Support medication administration following care plans and ensuring proper documentation in compliance with healthcare standards Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties, laundry, and sanitation tasks in accordance with health protocols Provide emotional support through active listening, companionship, and engaging activities that promote mental stimulation and social interaction Document care activities meticulously, including patient observations, progress notes, and updates to care plans while respecting patient confidentiality Skills Proven experience in group home settings, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care environments Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care strategies, and working with individuals with autism or disabilities Certified in First Aid and CPR; familiarity with HIPAAs standards for patient privacy and data security Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when assisting residents with mobility or transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and recognizing signs of distress or health deterioration Experience working with residents' (personal preferences) to provide personalized support that respects individual dignity Competence in working within care plans, administering medications accurately, and following healthcare protocols for long-term or hospice care Join us as a Personal Care Assistant to empower individuals through compassionate caregiving while advancing your skills in a dynamic healthcare environment.
