Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support and care to individuals in various settings, including assisted living facilities, home health environments, and community-based programs. This role is vital in promoting independence, ensuring safety, and enhancing the quality of life for those with diverse needs, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those experiencing memory loss. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering personalized care with a positive attitude. All positions are paid and offer opportunities for professional growth within the caregiving field. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote independence and dignity. Monitor patients' vital signs and observe for any changes in health status, reporting findings accurately to healthcare professionals. Support medication administration following care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal planning and preparation. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces. Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other mobility aids to assist with patient transfers safely. Document patient progress, update care plans regularly, and communicate effectively with team members about each client's needs. Other duties as assigned Skills Proven experience in home & community care or assisted living environments; group home experience is a plus. Knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to monitor vital signs accurately. Certification in First Aid and CPR; additional training in Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, or hospice care is highly desirable. Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to maintain client confidentiality at all times. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required for patient transfers or mobility assistance. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare teams. Pay:
$12.00 - $20.00 per hour
