Part-Time Position Overview:
We are seeking compassionate and dependable Direct Support Providers (DSPs) to provide one-on-one day services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and mental health needs. This role focuses on person-centered support, skill-building, and community integration in a safe and respectful environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 direct care and supervision tailored to each individual's needs Support individuals with daily living skills, communication, and social development Implement individualized service plans (ISP) and behavioral support strategies Assist with community outings, appointments, and recreational activities Promote independence, dignity, and choice in all interactions Monitor and document progress, behaviors, and daily activities accurately Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all individuals served Communicate effectively with team members, families, and supervisors
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required (Associate's or Bachelor's preferred) Experience working with individuals with IDD, autism, or mental health diagnoses preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to remain calm and supportive in challenging situations Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (preferred) Must pass background checks and required clearances
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of person-centered planning Experience with de-escalation techniques and behavioral supports CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
