Job Description

Overview Join our compassionate team as a Personal Care Assistant, where your dedication and caring nature will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring support with daily activities and personal well-being. This vital role offers an opportunity to provide high-quality, respectful care within a variety of settings, including assisted living, home health, group homes, and long-term care facilities. Responsibilities Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patient health by taking vital signs, observing changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately to healthcare professionals Support medication administration and help maintain care plans tailored to each individual's needs Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning to promote healthy eating habits Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and adhering to infection control protocols Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices to ensure safe patient transfers and mobility assistance Document patient observations, care provided, and any incidents in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, home health care, or group homes is highly desirable Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism enhances your ability to provide specialized support Hands-on experience with patient observation, vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and developing or following care plans is essential Familiarity with HIPAA regulations ensures confidentiality and privacy in all aspects of patient care Certifications such as CPR and First Aid are preferred; additional training in Hoyer lifts or heavy lifting techniques is a plus Experience working with diverse populations including seniors, individuals with disabilities or chronic conditions strengthens your caregiving skills Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team ensures the best outcomes for those you serve Join us in delivering compassionate caregiving that transforms lives!
