As a DSP, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents by assisting with daily activities, promoting independence, and fostering a safe, respectful environment. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities, seniors, and those requiring specialized care such as dementia or Alzheimer's care. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Provide personalized care tailored to each individual's needs, ensuring comfort and dignity at all times Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to track health status Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and safety protocols Support residents during meal preparation, feeding, and nutrition management while maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards Engage residents in social activities and community outings to promote socialization and mental stimulation Document care activities accurately using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and communicate effectively with healthcare teams Requirements Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and behavior management techniques Certification or training in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing training in medication administration is a plus Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities in general is essential Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Valid driver's license for transportation duties related to resident outings or appointments Strong communication skills with an empathetic approach to resident interactions Join us as a DSP and become part of a passionate team committed to enriching lives through dedicated support.
